Product Stewardship

The Government is promoting the use of industry-led voluntary Product Stewardship programs as a new tool to manage the disposal of a number of products once they have ended their useful life. Product Stewardship is a means by which producers, brand owners, importers, retailers, consumers etc. accept responsibility for the environmental effects of their products throughout their lifecycle.

As issues of sustainability and improved environmental performance become more pressing, Agpac have been leading the way in developing a Product Stewardship program for the recovery of used Bale Wrap for recycling.

This recycling program for farmers and growers is seen as the best way to develop a sustainable scheme that end-users can rely on. Agpac are continually developing innovative new products, like their Tuff Board Sheet made from the recycled bale wrap, thus helping complete the recycling loop.
