YHA NZ boost recycling with Urba Plus

The Youth Hostels Association of New Zealand has seen a large increase in recycling at their hostels following the introduction of Urba Plus. Coordinator for Social Sustainability at the YHA National Office, Jonathan Tunnell, said "We have witnessed a 100% increase in the volume of material recycled at our Christchurch City hostel following the introduction of Urba Plus. Our guests find that the easy access to recycling bins makes it easier for them to recycle which means less waste being sent for landfill" Agpac's Recycling Manager, Chris Hartshorne, said "We are seeing an upsurge of interest from tourist premises following the introduction of the Qualmark Environmental content which aims to improve environmental management and sustainability in the hospitality industry" YHA NZ have over 80 Urba Plus bins in a number of hostels throughout New Zealand.
