In a first for New Zealand Agpac have commissioned a new baler to support their Product Stewardship scheme to recover used bale wrap for recycling. The mobile baler was built specially for Agpac by Pioneer Engineering in Whangarei. The baler is designed to consolidate the filled liners once they have been collected from farms. Each bale contains on average 6 filled liners and weigh around 750 kgs. This allows us to transport the material for recycling much more efficiently. This keeps the costs down to farmers and also lessens our environmental impact.
